
Technical and Quality Manager (Yamane, Saint-Louis)
Our client operates in the agri-food sector, and specialiases in the production and export of vegetables.
Summary
Responsibility for the technical and Quality management System of the entire Farms, with reference to food safety and completing relevant and accurate records.Health & Safety (Level 1)
- Ensure all operators have completed and understood essential mandatory training and/or safe working procedures and comply with company policy on maintenance/cleaning, recording and data
- Ensure the safe use and operation of equipment, including daily checks and completion of calibrations, maintaining of equipment in good working order etc.
- Report any incidents, near misses and safety conversations in a timely manner
- Prevention of theft of machinery, equipment and other assets
- Comply with the company Lone Working Procedure
- On-going work with the team towards ‘World Class’s Health & Safety
- Make sure to give at least 2 reports by week whatever good or bad.
Technical operation
- Responsible for all documents, procedures and policies for the audits in the packhouse.
- Training and assist peoples for all procedures, costumes quality-specifications, risk assessments and food safety.
- Maintain, develop and implement all systems, policies and procedures relating to the company technical function including quality, safety, environment and health and safety, ensuring fit for purpose.
- Overseeing the farm’s technical function, supporting the implementation and maintenance of the Technical, Quality and HSE Standards across the site.
- Lead quality and hygiene team
- Ensure monitoring of GMP and CAYG practices
- Do daily and annual quality report for all product sender
- Ensure all product mock recall test is done
- Do traceability test for all products
- Control and order for labels used for each product.
- Update the visitor’s questionnaire and complete workers questionnaire book
- Update all packhouse procedure and record sheets
- Provide necessary support for all audits and visits and ensure compliance against recognised standards
- Ensure relevant HACCP/TACCP inclus VACCP are controlled, and Trainer people to understanding the critical points.
- Training people for HACCP and control process
- Monitoring people for product segregation.
- Ensuring adequate communication of issues and concerns between all teams as necessary
- Co-ordinate collection of samples to schedule.
- New procedure and check sheets to be implemented for new lines and process in the packhouse extension
- Take and collect all microbiology and pesticide samples request by monthly
- Booking for samples and scales calibration.
- Pesticide usage control and residue analysis
- Create a plan for baits boxes.
- Focus on cleaning stock items process (in and out)
- Order all cleaning stock materials use including PPE for Staff.
- Complete of critical daily records
- H&S
- Traceability control records
- Monitoring waste management
- Do all the product yield by plot
- Mass balance all the product between harvest, packing and export (harvest and seal)
- Monitoring for all chemical Safety data sheet
- Do laundry audit by weekly and complete daily check sheet
- Control hygiene tanks and source of water use for product
- ensure that chlorine and yard UV monitoring is recorded accurately, and any discrepancies reported at the direction level
- ensure and continual checking that deep clean is effective especially on radish wash line and new flag trimming
Innovation & Development
- Provide support for new and/or less experienced operators
- Assist in the design and implementation of new installations and infrastructure as required
- Innovate and develop equipment and ways of working
- Actively engage with new technologies and systems
- Develop technical training Materials and develop staffs to enhance technical know-how
- Support the implementation of Operations Excellence addressing inefficiency link to Quality loss
Record Keeping
- Effective and efficient planning of work
- Timely, accurate and organised recording of scheduled operations
- Document non-conformances, corrective actions and their follow up
- Archive all records to required standards and time periods
- Controlled accounts of material usage and waste
Other responsibilities
- Timely reporting of faults/issues that require input and assistance from engineering team, external contractors or specialists.
- Support an understanding and philosophy amongst staff in achievement of high standards of workmanship, hygiene and tidiness
- Ensuring adequate co-ordination and co-operation between departments
- Engage in LEAN implementation
- Assistance with any other operations required during peak periods
- To carry out any other reasonable requests made by a member of WAF Management Team
