Technical Director (Metal sector)

Our client is a steel company who is opening a new factory in Senegal for the production of cold-formed rebar. The Technical Director will be responsible for lauching production and leading it.

MAIN TASKS:

• Supervising the construction of a metalworking shop (production of cold-formed rebar) from scratch for 5 000 m² with a volume of production of about 5 000 tons of finished products per month
• Development of technical and regulatory documentation
• Selection of contractors, conclusion of contracts and work control
• Control of delivery and installation of drawing equipment
• Hiring and development of the workshop team (about 30 people)
• Carrying out commissioning works and further supervision and development of manufacture

REQUIREMENTS:

• At  least 5 years’ work experience as a Head of Workshop or Technical Director in cold-formed rebar manufacturing
• Knowledge of Senegalese/Ivory Coast legislation
• Knowledge of the economics of manufacturing and its quality system
• Knowledge of equipment and production processes
• Fluency in French and English
• Experience in the organization/construction of the workshop will be a plus
