CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Our customer is a developer and operator of electric power generation facilities. The CFO of Senegal will work closely with the Business, Accounting and Finance teams based throughout the Africa organization.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of the monthly business review; which includes preparation of financial information, KPI’s and involves close coordination with the operations team
- Coordination and management of the accountants to ensure the accounting information in SAP is accurate, provided by specified deadlines and vendorse are paid on a timely basis
- Manage cost control and cash flow to ensure EBITDA and cash distribution budget targets are met
- Preparation of the monthly business review; which includes preparation of financial information, KPI’s and involves close coordination with the operations team
- Responsible for completion of the annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts
- Completion of the quarterly group reporting requirements which includes BPC submissions/Footnotes/legal and tax templates/consolidation checklists
- Coordination of the quarterly review/year-end audit performed by the auditors (as necessary)
- Providing accounting information to the tax consultants to ensure tax reports are filed within the specified deadline
- Preparation of financial statements and other financial reports
- Ensuring a high quality internal control environment and adherence to group policies
- Ensure compliance with all debt covenants
- Providing financial analysis to the operations team (as necessary)
- Other ad hoc projects
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- 10+ of proven financial and accounting experience in an international business environment.
- Knowledge of SAP/BPC (or another similar consolidation system) essential
- IFRS expertize and US GAAP (preferred but not essential)
- Knowledge of strong internal control environment
- Strong organizational and team management skills
- Energy/power experience preferred but not required
- Strong experience in the Africa region
- Excellent Microsoft Office software knowledge and skill, especially in Excel and Powerpoint.
